Firetail Environments now offers a range of drone and positioning equipment rentals based out of central Victoria. This rental program has been arranged in response to demand and a dearth of rental options for drone operators based outside of Melbourne and surrounds, providing another hire source for projects that require specialised survey, aerial or positioning equipment.
And, as a unique difference, if you need assistance in selecting or operating the equipment or using it to its full capacity, we know our equipment intimately and use it regularly which means we can assist with technical questions and requirements, inductions and training to get you started.

M300 RTK
A powerful industrial drone platform with an advanced flight controller system, 6 Directional Sensing and Positioning system and FPV camera. The M300 RTK is an enterprise work horse allowing sensors such as P1, L1, H30T, L2 and other to be utilised.
Available with RC Plus upgrade to run H30T and L2 sensors.

DJI Zenmuse enterprise sensors P1, L1 and H30T are industry standard for survey, aerial photography and inspection applications providing high quality outputs.
Note, a Zenmuse L2 is also available on request and by negotiation.

Mavic 3 Multispectral and Thermal
DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral provides excellent coverage and survey grade RGB and multispectral datasets for agriculture, environment and asset management.
The M3T provides fantastic application output for asset management and inspection applications.

Phantom 4 Pro Version 2 inc. smart controller
A fantastic sub-2kg drone with great capability for simple inspection work, photogrammetry or general photography and video requirements.
The addition of the smart controller means no tablet or phone requirement and improved screen visibility and heat management.

Positioning Equipment
A range of positioning equipment available including DJI DRTK-2 base station and Emlid gear, tripods and staffs.
The DRTK-2 is a great go-to for relative positioning, known point survey positioning or to utilise with DJI Agras drones, while our Emlid systems are a fantastic option for improved positioning, to pair with local NTRIP or if you need to collect aerial data and ground control.

Emlid Reach RS+ rover units $315 (single) $475 (dual) + gst. inc. tripod and staff

Conditions of Hire
- All hirers must supply 80% of the retail value of the equipment new. to be paid before pick up. Remaining balance after hire and condition inspection will be transferred back at the end of the hire period.
- Adequate identification of hirer and any pilots of hire equipment
- All hirers must supply a copy of RePL and Reoc where appropriate
- All hirers must provide evidence of adequate insurances, this may include an addition to equipment or liability insurances to provide the additional aircraft and supplier as an interested party.
- All hires will be party to a hire agreement
